I grew up in Beaverton, Oregon where I graduated from Sunset High School and lettered on the varsity basketball team. I graduated from Oregon State University with cum laude honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. My Business Administration degree emphasized International Business and Marketing, with a minor in German and Economics.
I married my college sweetheart, the woman of my dreams. My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary this year. We have one son, who graduated Hosanna Christian School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. My wife, who grew up in Klamath, and I returned to live in Klamath County in 2001. We are small business owners who also enjoy country living on a small farm.
My family attends Calvary Chapel Church in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I served, a little over three years, on the Board of Directors for the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce. For 17 years, I have owned wrinkledog, inc., online marketing agency, that specializes in web design, cloud development and email marketing. Before that I worked in management, marketing and customer support, for three Fortune 500 companies in Portland (Xerox, Tektronix and Georgia-Pacific).
As a business owner I have seen first hand the negative impact of increased taxes, new fees and additional regulations. I understand in order to thrive, businesses must keep costs to a minimum. Unfortunately our State government continues to add undue burdens to all businesses, especially the small and rural ones, in Oregon.
